Sudan’s NCP expects foreign attempts to overthrow it

June 26, 2011 (KHARTOUM) – The ruling National Congress Party (NCP) in Sudan said it expects a “fierce foreign attack” to remove the party from power following the official independence of the South on July 9th.

Mandour_Al-Mahdi.jpgThe NCP deputy chairman in Khartoum Mandoor al-Mahdi said that signs of this plot is evident by recent events in Abyei, South Kordofan and Darfur.

Al-Mahdi also made a rare acknowledgement that revolutions that are sweeping the region could occur in Sudan contrary to assertions by other officials.

“We are not immune from revolutions,” the NCP official said.

In Tehran president Omer Hassan al-Bashir in a meeting with Sudanese expatriates accused the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) of secretly sneaking its fighters to South Kordofan in a bid to seize the capital town of Kadugli and install its leading figure Abdel-Aziz al-Hilu as ruler.

Bashir said that the ex-Southern rebel group wanted to turn Kadugli into “another Benghazi” in a reference to the rebel stronghold in Libya.

“The government stopped all negotiations with any party bearing arms and will quell any outlawed rebellion in Nuba mountains,” Bashir said.

This month heavy fighting has broke out between the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) and allied militiamen against troops aligned to southern former rebel army the SPLM, in the northern border state.

Both sides traded accusations on who started the fighting. Last month al-Hilu, who is number two in the northern branch of the SPLM and former deputy governor of South Kordofan, came close to winning the state’s gubernatorial election last month but lost to incumbent Ahmed Haroun who is wanted by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for war crimes he allegedly committed in Sudan’s western region of Darfur

Furthermore, on May 21st the SAF moved to take over the contested border region of Abyei, flushing out Southern fighters in retaliation for an ambush near the area it blamed on SPLA.

The North and South are currently meeting in Addis Ababa with African Union mediation for negotiations on de-escalating the situation in Abyei and South Kordofan.

Umssss! there is no cause for alerm, South has no intention to go for War in reference to Salva Kirr’s asertion.
Panic and you will be over turned by your own sentiments who are equally fucked off of your unlawful acts. If the external fighters want to attack you like Lybia do not smare blam on the SPLM/A that is your internal conflicts with fellow Arabs from other parts of the Country.
Support for the particles in S. Kordofan aligned to SPLA/M could be yes due to the NCP interest to move deeper south word so there is need for a contingent plan for protection.
Coup is smelling at the coridor for Bashir by his own people, ohhhhhh!.Al Bashir couldn’t reach Benjing coz, he was drunk and went to rest in Iran.

He who wish himself bad luck always fall into it.
Why panicking my dear self impose islamists in the North as custodians of Islam while your actions and attitudes defame Islamic faith as brutal and inhumane religion.

It is said, if you bent down to look at someone buttocks mind you that someone is also looking at your buttocks. This was happening with NIF/NCP across the regions of Sudan from South, East, west and currently in central that is South Kordofan.

Well said Honorable Dinka Dominated SPLA/M, indeeds they should not “blame their being wicked on others”. It’s unfortunaate that our brothers the Nuer don’t see the cunning game being play on them by these merchants in the North. I personally believed that one day those of Gadate who is repeating Riek’s past by trying to hand back the South to Arab will regret. His children will regret, those communities lead by demogogues will regret and their under-civilized supporters. The clock is ticking on the militias and their sponsoring merchants in the North. The marginalized shall win once for all.

    Dear Mahdi
do not involve international community in any incident happening in Sudan, their main target is to keep peace in Sudan.it is shameful for Sudan govt to keep the country in serial of conflicts since the attainment of the independent 1956.it is now their duty to ensure that Sudan must attain complete peace, it was the intervention of Int’l community that let us have a little fresh air today otherwise you arabs like bloodshed all the time. you belong to nowhere though South Sudan has given you north to reside on, if we were jealous we would claim whole of Sudan. stay but know that you are travelers anytime you may decide to go to another country and occupy it as you did to Southerners. because what you like are the resources but not to develop the country, you are not mindful of the owners of the land others that is why South split from you, shame on you if you did something to the South compare in term of development such as roads, hospitals, schools, etc. you are gone and I will never remember you again go oo go.

Panicking is what “Dinka SPLA d and LL Reuben” are in regarding our brothers Nuer particularly Dr. Riek Machar. Reik Pobia amongst Dinkas is rocketing higher.

By attacking our brothers to cover our messes is a mistake. We should be building our reputation after GoSS messes it. Gatdet is not the only rebel, not the first even but a Dinka son not else than Athor. How dare we attack Nuer?

    Change is coming to Khartoum.
NCP is almost collapsing. We are waiting South to secede first and you will see what happen last. These are signs of failing. Don’t blame any person just recall what you did in the past to the people of Sudan in general. Wicked minds.

I call upon people of Sudan not to topple Bashir’s regime before he collect his rubbishes away in Abyei. Let him go with his SAF soldiers pay his crimes in Hague. President Bashir’s image make many hate or like politic in Sudan. I hope South Kordofan, Nubian and Fur communities who have suffered in a series of battle like us South Sudan will never stop in the midpoint without toppling this evil movement called NCP regime. My president Bashir, Abyei will hurt you forever. Catch your Misserriya’s hands and leave for Khartoum if you wants survive for your remaining few days unless you’re deaf moving grave.
