Congratulates the South Sudan civil society

July 9th, 2011

On Saturday, July the 9th, 2011, the first day in the life of the new Republic of South Sudan, SHRO-Cairo congratulates the gallant people of South Sudan with this historic achievement, and the timely approval of a new transitional constitution based on popular consensus and a political commitment to the rule of law by international human rights norms.

The Organization takes this opportunity to congratulate her sisters, the non-governmental human rights and democracy groups of the South Sudan Civil Society with whom our organization maintained sisterly relations all over the last pre-independence years to defend the rights of people and to strengthen the principled implementation of the Bill of Rights and the other observable instruments all over Sudan.

We are fully confident that the South human rights and democracy NGOs would carry out a successful mission to ensure the full enjoyment of the fundamental freedoms and human rights for all citizens under the rule of law by the new democratic constitution of the republic.

We look forward to see equal guarantees and principled application of international law for all citizens without discrimination in the North, in place of the existing transitional constitution which entrenched the powers of presidential central systems of rule, rather than the full participation of the populace.

Our organization believes that the continuous success of constitutional democratic rule in South Sudan would reinforce the ultimate guarantees of a successful transition to democratic rule in North Sudan, and that this would act as a blossoming hope to bring about peaceful economic and social developments in both states of Sudan, as well as the other united regions of the country.

South Sudan cannot be a great country if we have “fake doctors” preaching for hatred and bitterness like this man. He need to be left alone. I don’t know why this webside doesn’t rules and regulations to guide its members. Absolutely, this man is not a doctor because “doctors cannot preach hatred, but love.
