Sudan’s ruling party raps SPLM-North over new rebel alliance
August 9, 2011 (KHARTOUM) – The Sudanese presidential assistant and deputy chairman of the ruling National Congress Party (NCP) Nafie Ali Nafie slammed the Northern sector of the Sudan People Liberation Movement (SPLM-North) over a new alliance forged with Darfur rebels this week.
Yesterday it was revealed that SPLM-North signed an agreement with two factions of the Sudan Liberation Movement (SLM) in Darfur led by Abdel-Wahid Mohamed Al-Nur and Minni Arcua Minnawi. It stated that the main goal of the new coalition is to overthrow the regime through political or military means.
Gamar Dalman, the media adviser to the SPLM leader in South Kordofan, told Sudan Tribune in a phone interview on Monday that the rapprochement between the SPLM-North and Darfur rebel groups was initiated by the Secretary General Yasir Arman adding that he along with Chairman Malik Agar are now “rebels” against Khartoum. He also underlined that all the political forces were approached to join the alliance.
The oil-rich state of Southern Kordofan includes large populations which sided with the south during the 20-year civil war. SPLA units in the state led by former deputy governor Abdel-Aziz al-Hilu have been fighting Khartoum government troops since early June.
Sudan has accused al-Hilu of launching a rebellion inside South Kordofan to try and control the region, and team up with rebels in other areas to challenge the national government.
Nafie who was addressing South Kordofan lawmakers in Khartoum said that external and internal forces are working together “to create a new south” that incorporates marginalized population in Sudan.
He called for strengthening state efforts through legislative and executive mechanisms to defeat what he described as a conspiracy.
The Sudanese parliament speaker Ahmed Ibrahim al-Tahir said that the SPLM in South Kordofan committed a “huge mistake” by declaring war in the state.
The NCP’s media officer Ibrahim Ghandour described yesterday’s accord as a “dangerous turn” and a threat to peace in Sudan.
A copy of the agreement seen by Sudan Tribune emphasizes the establishment of a secular state based on democratic values and respect to the rule of law. Furthermore, it calls for crafting a new constitution that separates religious institutions from state ones “to prevent exploiting religion in politics”.

Let the Republic of South Sudan now enjoy an everlasting peace and this time let Khartoum taste how bitter conflict is, how stew tastes without salt and even without asida, sleeping under mango trees in the rain, going nacked and many more to mention, . I support the toppling of the regim of AL Bashir by all means to set the marginlized regions free to develop and enjoy peace.
But rebeles do not reveal their plans as early as this or they may be cupture un expedited.
It is too early yet for NCP to begin to yell but it is a reality that the coalison is taking an effect on Khartoum.

It is not “a new South, nor, a huge Mistake neither a dangerous turn”.
It is the legitimate right of the marginalised people in their own fractions of their land. Please handle it with care and give them their rights and freedoms and hence you shall be in peace for ever. Failure to do so will result exactly like the case of South Sudan with the north.
Please delete those minor assumption in your minds of underestimating strength of other tribes or black people in the Country.
The 21st century is a change in itself. South Kordofan shall suceed with Darfur soon. Better for you now to quest for change.

The deputy chairman of the ruling National Congress Party (NCP) Nafie Ali Nafie and the Sudan Government had started panicing because of only few alliance that occurred few days back.
Why arresting the SPLM/A North Sector officer? Now is showing you are weak. You have started bombing innocent people of both side of Alliances forces and many lives have been reported death. This as a results to your evils acts you are doing to innocent lives of Sudan because of yourselves interest.
Admit whatsoever the outcome it is because you are ear-less people always.
The Sudan will get lesson by those few rebels and even if have air-crafts you will not over come their movement.
