South Sudan “feels pain” of fighting in S. Kordofan
August 12, 2011 (MALAKAL) – A South Sudanese official on Friday said is feeling the pain of the ongoing fighting in Southern Kordofan State. She further said would appreciate international intervention to stop what it described as massive killing of the Nuba ethnic group.
Groups from the Nuba Mountains in the Sudanese state of Southern Kordofan fought with South Sudanese against the Khartoum government for nearly two decades. Just before South Sudan became independent on July 9 this year, fighting erupted between the Sudanese army and forces of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement- North (SPLM-N) led by Abdel Aziz Al-Hilu.
“As people and government, we are feeling the pain of the fighting that is going on in Southern Kordofan,” said Andrea Maya, a deputy governor of the neighbouring Upper Nile state.
Maya, who was speaking at Malakal airport on Friday, accused the Sudanese of political “negligence and racial marginalization” against Sudanese nationals in Southern Kordofan and in Blue Nile states.
The two states were granted special dispensation under the Comprehensive Peace Agreement of 2005 but the popular consultations to express their own demands and to analyse whether the CPA addressed their grievances have not been completed.
“The government in Khartoum is indeed responsible for the fighting which is continuing in the Southern Kordofan, the deputy governor affirmed. “It wanted to disarm forces of SPLM-N who were part of the joint integrated unit created by the CPA to be deployed in the transitional areas,” explained Maya.
She further pinpointed that that the joint units were supposed to remain in place there to support the conduct of popular consultation. But the Sudanese army were preparing to disarm them before the end of the process.
The senior state official reported that Upper Nile has received and is providing assistance to 360 refugees from the troubled area of Southern Kordofan.
South Sudan became the world’s newest nation July 9 and later the 193rd member of the United Nations. The independence came out as part of a peace agreement reached in 2005 that ended a brutal civil war in Sudan.
The former United Nations Mission in Sudan has expressed concern about violence along the borderlines and possibilities of spreading it to the new state of South Sudan.
A Different sources including a leaked UN human rights report say that there were signs indicating that members of the Nuba ethnic community were being targeted by the Sudan Armed Forces and their allied militias.
Khartoum accuse Juba of supporting Kordofan’s rebellion as the international community expression fears that the ongoing conflict in the volatile area might spread into the newly independent state of South Sudan.
Around 70,000 people have been displaced by the fighting. It is unclear how many have died due to the lack of access accorded to journalists and humanitarian workers.

“South Sudan ” feels pain” of fighting in South Kordofan”. What does it show to you the lady? There is no cry but retaliation. Cowards should now go and fight SAF. Brave shuold not be left alone to fight SAF and later on the cowards hijack powers of leadership from the braves just like the case of South Sudan. Those who fought the war are now vunerable of political changes and are the poorest community now in South Sudan though leading officers (bottle necks) enjoy abundant resources and forgot their daily watchdogs during the war.
Everyone in South Sudan shall cry and feel pains but do nothing. Unless Checks and balances is put into practice.

This ,lady whatever is her name should feel the pain of her own waring and starving people. If she is so sensitive she should feel the pain of the abducted childrens who are enslaved by rival tribes and the ” mutual” killings and burning of humans on ethinic and racial basis , like what happened in Myoum when 7000 homes where burned.
She should rather remember that she is from the RoSS and not RoS. Any interferance of any foreigner in our internal affairs is not welcomed and is not going to be acceptable. If that lady cares about her own people she should remember that any negative interference in our affairs will reflect badly on the one million southerners and hundreds of university students who are living peacfully and getting in the Republic of Sudan.

This is message from Dinka Twic East Civil Group. We the Dinka Twic East are not involved in that apology by Vice President Riek Machar. The apology he has done was for Dinka Bor only. Also his apology was a setup by Dinka Bor people who trying to take credits or to discard Dinka Twic East true identity.
We the Dinka Twic East people, we are still waiting our true apology from Dr. Riek Machar, and it could be done in Panyagor, the headquarter of Twic East County. That’s where the incident of the 1991 occurred. For those people who done know the name of that incident, please it is calls “Southeastern Dinka Massacre or in actuality when it comes to really title based on impacted people. It is calls Dinka Twic East Massacre. Dinka Twic East tribe is different from Dinka Bor. They have different characters and dialects as well. It is true even God (Nhialic) knows it.
Please be aware that, this website always omits some information inside any message the think is not in there interests. Also the website is owned by Dinka Bor people and Dinka Twic East. That’s why they always ignore or discards our true claims.
N/B: Dr. John Garang se Mabior is Dinka Twic East. During the movement he was using Dinka Bor for Two reasons:
(a) Dinka Bor was the one tribe in that region Jonglei that was documented as legitimate tribe there when Garang took over SPLM/A. It was done by intellectuals and scholars who were often driven by these words: nepotism (brotherhood & sisterhood), selfish, ignorant, pride of individual backgrounds and ignorant of other tribes as dominant signs, etc.
Dinka Twic East is not that small, and also Dinka Bor should be proud about 2009 census as they are more than Dinka Twic East in population.
We the Dinka Twic East people need government of South Sudan to checks Bor County population for its being divide into two counties.
Dinka Twic East has three sections: Lith, Ajuong & Pakeer, and Dinka Bor has two sections: Athooc & Gok.
Truth and History will not be steal from Dinka Twic East.

@Mahamed Ali. As a moderate,i must to tell u the truth that Sudan have been commiting crimes in the past and continue to do so upto now, though enemy can never qualify to be an advisor, south could give essentials advices on how war could be ended in wider Sudan including Darfur,S.Kordofan,Blue Nile and other opposing region but should be base on mutual respects of territorial interigity of each other not base on bias & prejudice.Khartoum gvt have to reform and allow its people take part in a post-secession govt.Do u think solution would come from nowhere?.

That was a big mistake to bonded SPLA they so call it SPLA north. Those people when they join SPLA it was because John Garang told them he was fighting for equal right and justice of all Sudan that was the vision of Dr.Garang.Now people in south whom are Garang’s supporters are not agree. We have to feel the pain of our brothers in Nuba land they sacrifices they have been fighting with us shoulder to shoulder why we have to bonded them and leave them to Jallaba to kill them? (tear)That was mistake of Garang we have to correct it we have to help them in any cost as we can, they are our brothers.
