New American-funded peace radio for Sudan

NAIROBI, June 02, 2004 (Sudan Tribune) – A new station radio has been launched here by the Education Development Centre, an American NGO, to promote peace and development in Sudan.

The radio is called “Sudan Radio Service” will broadcast programmes in English, Arabic, Juba Arabic, Dinka, Zande, Moru, Nuer, Bari and Shillouk languages.

The chief of the Sudan Radio Service, Mike Kuenzli indicated to Sudan Tribune that the programming focuses on news, civic education, health, agriculture and education.

It can be heard on the shortwave radio from 6-8 in the morning tune in to 11665 kHz from 8-9 in the morning tune in to 15325 kHz and from 6-9 in the evening tune in to 17660 kHz.
