A Darfur rebel leader remembers September 11 attacks

Message of Chairman of Sudan Liberation Movement/Army Abdoul Wahid Mohamed Ahmed Al Nour on commemoration of Sep 11

The Sudan Liberation Movement/Army expresses its deep grieves and condolences to the families of those innocent American civilians who were killed by barbaric terrorists’ attacks on September 11, 2009. We pray Al Mighty God to rest their souls in eternal peace. Amen

The fundamentalist terrorists’ attacks forced America to declare war against terror beyond American boarders to include Afghanistan, the hideout of Al-Qaida who was responsible for the attacks and still threatens the security of the American citizens.

However; the same insecurity reasons that pushed America to fight terror around the world, was the same reason that motivated Sudan Liberation Movement /Army to carry arms against the Islamic Fundamentalist regime in Khartoum who killed hundreds of southlands of our families in Darfur and displaced millions of them internally and in neighboring countries. Today, the day Americans and friends of America lament the September 11 memorial ceremonies; the Jihadists Government in Khartoum continues to bombard our innocent civilians in South Jebel Marra.

The Sudan Islamist genocide regime did not stop in Darfur; but today expanded its war against the indigenous people of Sudan to include Nubba Mountains where mass graves were discovered last month and Blue Nile in last two weeks where innocent civilians were killed and southlands other were displaced in Ethiopia.

Sudan Liberation Movement/Army recognizes America as country of well established institutions where human being is highly protected and respected. On the other hand SLM/A also believes that all human beings have got rights to be protected wherever they are. Therefore; we appeal all Americans and the American Government headed by President Barak Obama who on many occasion said that; America must do something on the rolling genocide that takes place in Darfur, to act now and help us for regime change in Sudan and stop the death toll of our systematically targeted innocent civilians.

In its New Beginning strategy; the Sudan Liberation Movement/Army is determined to change the Islamic fundamentalist regime in Khartoum and establish Secular Liberal Democratic Federal Sudan, where religions should be separated from State Affair and the equal citizenship to the criterion of performing duties and getting rights; and we believe that; this is the only right way to maintain peace and stability in Sudan.
