The Republic of South Sudan declared independence on 9 July 2011 after a referendum on self-determination held within the framework of a peace agreement signed on 9 January 2005 to end two decades of civil war in Sudan.

The White House announced this week that US President Barak Obama will meet Kiir on the sidelines of the General Assembly to mark his support to South Sudan.

President Kiir will fly to New York on Tuesday and is expected to address the UN’s General Assembly on 23 September for the first time after South Sudan became an Independent state.

“The President will have more bilateral meetings with Presidents and Heads of government and these include the President of USA Barack Obama, President of Georgia, President of Lebanon Gen Michel Suleiman, Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of Greece, President of Austria Heinz Fischei and many more,” said Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth, head of mission at the Embassy of the Republic of South Sudan to US and UN.

“The president will address the UN General Assembly to highlight the role of the new Republic of South Sudan in contributing to the world peace, fighting global terrorism, challenges facing the new nation and viability of the two states of South Sudan and North Sudan as friendly nations,” he added.

In Khartoum it was announced that foreign minister Ali Karti will lead Sudan’s delegation to the UN Assembly General.

Before leaving New York, the undersecretary at the foreign affairs ministry Rahama Mohamed Osman met with Ambassador Mary C. Yates, the new Interim Chargé d’Affaires at the US Embassy in Khartoum, to discuss the positions of the two countries at the General Assembly meetings.

According to the Sudan’s official news agency SUNA the minister and the undersecretary will participate in two meetings dedicated to Libya and Somalia besides bilateral meetings with officials representing different countries.

The speech writer for kiir has limited knowledge, that’s why kiir’s speech is always monotonous, watch the speech he gave in kenya recently. it was real poor in meaning.

This is a very important Assembly marked by Presence of the new bride. The bride maybe shy but should be in a position to take a deep breath first before openning his mouth. The first warming up shuold be led by Honourable Nhial Deng Nhial.

My advise to H.E. President is to avoid use ” Inu” arabic assent in his english. That mixture of languages will led the whole lots in the UN General Assembly to run for Dictionaries to look up for the meaning when it simply means ” so, that and perhaps”.

I would like all our representative meant to attend such occassions be fluent in use of grammer and other short phrases or idioms. Thanks

Sincerely how come for Mr.Cowboy(Mayardiit) to attend the UN Assembly while his own citizens are still facing a bad situations in Jonglei particular at Uror county? This is shame to him because he suppose to visit that area before attending that meeting.

I really appreciated Mr.Goyom for the words he post on the net since our President always like outing when its weekend and I request the administration of New York to look at our President in case of taking what so called tea (chai)

Let the speech must be sensitive to convince the entire Worldwide that we have a maximum of beautiful country.

I hope Mr.James Wani Igga and Machar will edit that speech before the President proceed to State because those are the key to rectify the errors.

    Safe journey Mr.Cowboy

In my personal view, I think North Sudan government needs to give other people their rights based on mutual respects. These regions of Abyei, South Kordufan, Blue Nile and Darfur are in need of rights to freedom of democracy in anyway possible. Because in North Sudan I don’t see where our former brothers and sisters in North Sudan would be able to control those regions responsibly without allow them to choose their own destinations or identity. Also, I think Northern Sudanese are still behind old days of politics where people use to give up easily. North Sudan, things are dramatically changing nowadays to different views towards new world system of choices. That’s just piece of my advise to our former brothers and sisters in North Sudan.
To conclude my point, hello president Beshir, would you please leave my brothers and sisters of Abyei alone. If it is oil why you refuse them to come to South Sudan, to me that’s just a simple reason my former president. Your country of Northern Sudan has a lot of oil if your Administration would be able manage it well in regards to your people you represents. So please Mr. president Beshir leave Abyei for South Sudanese’ because I couldn’t see the reason why you take hostages of our people.Just let them come to South Sudan like what you have done to South Sudan few months back.
Mr. Beshir, I am looking forward for your leadership based on truth and understandings of other people rights. Abyei people in North Sudan would be like someone mixing grains with sand when it comes to this people identity and history background shows where they should be.

Mr Kiir has miserablly failed to lead RSS and thus he should consider resigning as soon as possible to let any competent person who has a clue of how to run a country take over from him because it is very difficult if not impossible to start building a country as backward as RSS with a naive president like Mr Kiir Mayaar with all my due respect to him!

RSS is a wild wild west notion thus it is not ready whatsoever to be led by an innocent president like Mr Kiir. let SPLM criminal network that put the man in this mess get this fact right, let Mr Kiir be asked to step down straightaway if SPLM cares about this country!

By the way, what is that nonsense thing called UN? what that nonsense suppose to the governments and the people the third world countries? who is not seeing what is happening in Libya right when UN resolution 1973 is being abused by the NATO to take reprisal against Colonel Gaddafi the legitimate leader of Libyan people who is being treated like a criminal while handling those Islamic terrorists as hero by the double standard westerners! where is the justice here!!

Is UN not a western agent that is exploited by West and NATO to excute their injustice on the leaders of the third world governments hostile or simply refuse to be submissive to western world!! People of the third world countries should give up that pathetic wetsern agent called UN!!

This comment is intended to African Union!!

As an African establishment whose mandate perhaps is to protect the continent’s interests and its citizens from any external and internal threats then the bewildering question an ordinary African person would like to ask would be why is AU reluctant to rescue our Black African Migrant workers who are being detained right now in Libya by that pathetic NATO- backed NTC Islamic terrorist network led by those dirty Islamic terrorists?

Suppose NATO terrorist has scared the hell out of you with its military might( which makes sense because you are struggling even to feed your hungry populations let alone questioning the NATO destruction of the one important member state of your organisation who spent millions of $ to support AU) then why recognising that Islamic terrorist callled NTC that is butchering , detaining and raping your vulnerable and innocent civilians in Libya now??

About 3,000 Black African migrant workers are being detained and tortured under inhumane conditions in Libya now by the Islamic Terrorists led by the former notorious Guantanamo bay Al Qaida terrorist detainee Abdel Akiim or whatever his stupid terrorist name is, that is recognising those innocent African migrant workers as mercenaries supporting Colonel Gaddafi who is burning those Islamic terrorists right now in Bin Walied, Serte , Saba etc of his strongholds using modern weaponary regardless of the NATO indiscriminate bombardment of ColonelGaddafi’s army and civilians alike as published on Russia Today or RT website!!

Now AU has to know that the Libyan terrorists are killing, raping and detaining African Migrants as a reprisal against AU position which was supportive to colonel Gaddafi in the begining of the Libyan conflict plus its delayed recognition of NTC, the NATO backed Islamic terrorist in Libya!! so logically, AU has a moral duty to do something very urgent to rescue those African Migrant detainee in Libya who are being held against thier will and prevented to go home by the Islamic terrorists who are accusing them of being mercenaries as advertised by NATO and western media.

where is our African pride and dignity if we can allow our people to be treated inhumanly like this by NTC rats and Islamic terrorists as called by the Colonel Gaddafi!! Let the Libyan terrorists release our people or otherwise let us sabotage or don’t recognise and support Libyan insurgency that will be led by Colonel Gaddafi God protect him from the evil NATO and NTC Islamic terror organisation!!

    sorry!!

I meant to say let the AU withdraw its recognition of the NTC terrorists and let the AU only support the Libyan insurgency which will be led by Colonel Gaddafi in the near furture if the NTC islamic terrorists wouldn’t release the detained African Migrant workers in Libya!!
