The minister of information and official spokesman of the government, Barnaba Marial Benjamin, on 29 September told the press that Kiir briefed the Council of Ministers about his meeting with Obama.

Kiir met Obama on 21 September at the UN General Assembly, where South Sudan was welcomed into the UN fold two after it gained independence from the rest of Sudan.

Kiir told the South Sudanese population he will tackle the issue of corruption after a series of high profile incidents. This includes billions of US dollars spent on contracts signed by the ministry of finance with fictitious companies to deliver the grain throughout the country.

Marial explained that Kiir also discussed the need for good governance, transparency and accountability in South Sudan with Obama.

Mr. President, “action speaks louder than words.” You spoke of “good governance, transparency and accountability in South Sudan with Obama.” Mr. President, you must be kidding. Things happened in your watch and you are telling us that you will hold some greedy ministers accountable for their selfish act. It would be better for the South Sudanese citizens to know who are those looted public fund.

Obama’s heart and mind hasn’t come back home(Africa) yet and he is to blame for the genocides that are taking place right now in Blue Nile, Nuba Mts and Darfur regions of North Sudan. Everyone has seen the US Carrot to the NIF fugitive leaders, but no where for the stick to be seen as the first mentioned incentive of “Stick & Carrot” from US Administration to NIF administration of Khartoum.

what ever we are seeing today are the aftermath of war
people are hungry they need to eat at the expense of others which is morally wrong..corruption ‘ll never be eradicated since every body is implicated in one way or the other.there’s no truth in what the president is saying.we ‘ve heard his zero tolerance to corruption over and over again specially in the army but what have we seen apart from promoting those culprits involved.typical example is the airforce were the so call directors are richer then some other ministers while the technical trained soldiers are merely like beggers…am optimistic that time is the best medicine for after 10 or so years, their bellies will burst and the new generation will take over..

    Dear President,
Most of us expected you to exclude corrupt politicians from your new cabinet, but you graced them with ministerial porfolios. Some big thieves got appointed to the National Assembly and the Council of States too.So my understanding is that you take what the public has rejected and reject what the public wants. If you want to gain the trust of the public, then take action now.
