By Bonifacio Taban Kuich

October 25, 2011 (BENTIU) -The Unity state council of ministers passed three bills on 21 October. These were the transitional constitutions, construction of an international airport and a pest control plan for Parieng county.

The meeting was chaired by the state governor Taban Deng Gai.

The pest control bill aims to tackle the blight of birds and grasshoppers which are currently destroying crops in Parieng county and causing a food shortage in the area.

Gideon Gatpan Thoar, the official spokesman, said the state government has approved SSDG120,000 (US$45,000) for the project.

Thoar explained that the Unity state transitional constitutional have been given to the state minister of legal affairs and constitutional development, Stephen Pech Beliew, who will present it to the state legislative assembly shortly.

Thoar also announced that a budget for the new airport will be announced soon. The airport will be in Kuerchiengdup part of the state capital, Benitu.

The Unity state government has so far identified seven as yet undisclosed articles of the transitional constitution that need immediate removal before the final passing by the state legislative assembly.

Im not jealous my friend. I do not want Sudan and South Sudan to unit. Im just congratulating just like all of you do when the SPLM-N or Darfur rebels attack the army or innocent civilians in the North. It hurts doesn’t it – so maybe next time you might be a little more respectful of Sudan’s sovereignty.
