The 15 year old was abducted in 2003 from Ngawhy boma (region) of Ajuong payam (district) of Twic East County and taken to Labere in Pibor county of Jonglei state.

The abductee, Deng Garang Deng, arrived in Bor on Thursday after spending 6 days walking from Labere.

Deng was received by his uncle, Marol Garang and brother, Bul Garang, in Jonglei state parliament.

Deng said he was among 500 hundred abducted by armed members of the Murle ethnic group, for whom he spent his time tending cattle. He explained that the children were exchanged between captors for 15 cows.

JJonkkozz propaganda. This is a false story. How can a child of that age know that there are 500 abducted children, only a fool can believe the agitation against Murle led by Kiir araci and Kuol atongde. They always mislead people by telling false stories about noble Murle. Enough of your hate campeign against my people and stop your jonkoz bor from selling their children to some ignorant villagers among Murle

Mr. Murle, No need to be emotional and combative, if you thinks it’s a lie, prove it’s not. Your tribe should not be allowed to stealing other people children. This behavior belong in stone age. This tribe has no regards for human life. The government need investigate disease in this tribe, and why the can’t have children of their own, and are they heading for extinction?.
