UK begins search for new ambassador to Sudan
– (LONDON) – The British Embassy in Khartoum confirms that it has started the formal process of appointment for Ambassador Kay’s successor. Ambassador Kay will be completing his posting to Sudan as scheduled in the summer of 2012.
On 21 December, at the request of the Government of the United Kingdom, Ambassador Kay presented to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs a request for agrément for his successor. The Government of the United Kingdom has not been asked by the Government of Sudan to withdraw Ambassador Kay.
