Governor of South Sudan’s Lakes State replaces deputy

April 21, 2012 (RUMBEK) – The governor of Lakes State, Chol Tong Mayay, has relieved his deputy from his post and replaced him.

Kuer previously held the post of commissioner of Yirol East county before being fired by the then state governor, Daniel Awet Akot. Akot accused Kuer of being short-tempered and combative.

Mayay will announce the rest of his new cabinet next week.
