SSLA FORCES ARE ADVANCING TOWARDS BENTIU TOWN

SSLA Headquarters, Mayom, South Sudan

April, 22nd, 2012

The gallant forces of SSLA defeated the forces of corruption and captured Lalop garrison today on April 22nd, 2012. Under the command of Maj. Gen. Kolchara Nyang, ten thousands SSLA forces are now matching towards Manga, a resort town of Governor Taban Deng Gai. Within few days, our forces will liberate Bentiu town and free its people from Taban Deng Gai and Salva Kiir.

Our forces captured many military trucks and destroyed some in the fighting. A Hino truck with Plate No 1732 SPLA HQ is in good condition and is being used by our forces. A land Cruiser captured in good condition has a plate no 01402 SPLA HQ. The Hino and the land cruiser belonged to Commando Division and Division Four respectively. A T-72 tank with plate no 084 was also captured in good condition.

The following SPLA soldiers were captured alive: 1. Capt. Domeris Akilo; 2. Samuel Makuach Maker (Division 6); 3. Immanuel Felix; 4. William Mamer Kiir; 5. Peter Malong Deng; 6. James Wani; 7. Lado Samuel Battali; 8. Tut Gatkuoth Chol; 9. Gatluak Chuol Biel; 10. James Deng Atem.

The SSLA forces counted 150 dead bodies of the SPLA soldiers. Only five SSLA soldiers were killed by anti-personnel mines implanted by the SPLA. Our forces did not have any wounded soldier.

The SSLA is calling upon remaining SPLA forces to join the forces of change to liberate our country from corruption. Under the leadership of Salva Kiir, South Sudan cannot achieve peace because the only thing Salva Kiir specialized in is corruption. Without equality, democracy, internal peace and stability, the realization of the good life—better food, housing, and living conditions—would be impossible under the leadership of corrupt Warrap’s elites.
