Lakes State Governor appoints new county commissioners
June 2, 2012 (RUMBEK) – The Governor of Lakes state, Chol Tong Mayay, has issued a decree relieving Manyang Luk Lueth of his position as Western Equatoria border advisor and appointed eight county commissioners, which took affect on Friday 1 June.
Manyang Luk Lueth, former border advisor for Western Equatoria replaces Bullen Bol Achinbai in Yirol East; Stephen Mathiang Deng, former logistics officer for the UN children’s fund (UNICEF) replaces Isaac Mayek Noah in Rumbek North; and Mayen Kuc Adhil, county chairman of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) party replaces Matur Majok Magol.
The County Commissioners for Rumbek East, Awerial, Wulu and Cuiebet have maintained their seats.
Governor Chol Tong has given the newly appointed Commissioners six months to achieve results for the people in their respective counties,
