“The final communiqué of the Sudan rebellion fronts adopted a clear position. It calls for comprehensive peaceful settlement of the Sudanese conflict. This communiqué strictly calls attention of the international community to clearly and immediately address security of the citizen as priority. It talks about security arrangements including cessation of hostilities, the right to deliver humanitarian aid without placing any condition. The government in Khartoum is now placing conditions but the international community should listen to Khartoum at all. Humanitarian assistance must be delivered”, he said

He further commented that Khartoum should not be allowed to make conditions. “Delivery of humanitarian aids must be unconditional. Humanitarian agencies need deliver relief assistances to the affected people without seeking permission from Khartoum. We will cooperate with them and do what is required of us. We also made our position clear on the need to ensure public freedoms and fundamental right. We also made our clear on declarations of principles especially on terms which will guide transitional period of maximum three years during which constitutional conference will be held. The census will also have to be conducted during transitional period and general elections under observations will have to be conducted, he adds

He said current humanitarian crisis requires no diplomacy and that it needs immediate action because the government in Khartoum does not honour promises it make during diplomatic engagements. He blamed international community of allowing Sudanese government to continuously carry out human rights violations without being held accountable even when the global community is fully aware of the crimes it has committed. The international community has obligations to uphold values conforming to international practices. Sudan is the only nation in the world being led by someone indicted for genocide at the international criminal court yet the international community does not see a reason to support Sudanese people determines their future. It is time the international community, particularly the Security Council of the United Nations comes up with clear position and asks member states to downgrade diplomatic relations with the Sudanese government in Khartoum.

Sudanese value international efforts but it is such efforts are stepped up are matter of urgency. The current humanitarian conditions are rapidly deteriorating. The number of people fleeing government controlled areas is increasingly growing and has reached an “alarming” number of people

He said people have resorted to eating wild fruits and insects because it was the only way to live since there is no other food “Time is running out,” “Lives hang in the balance. The people of these areas are yearning for help.” Yearn. He holds Sudanese President Omar Bashir responsible for deteriorating crisis, saying the daily bombing raids have prevented the people of the Nuba Mountains from planting crops.

“Bashir is not only bombarding civil population it areas held by the Sudanese armed force, but is deliberately starving them to death, claiming the population supports our movement. It is using food as a weapon of war,” “The blood of the Sudanese people is on his hand. He said Sudanese government continues to carry regular aerial and ground in the two areas targeting largely civilian settlements. They have never stopped. The murderous forces of the self imposed president of Sudan, Bashir and his generals continues to use national resources and state machineries to launch both air and ground attacks on the civil settlements, resulting into massive displacement. Most of the people have crossed to South Sudan. Others crossed to Ethiopia. Others are at the border. They are the people being bombed by Sudanese forces”, he explained
