Jonglei: US Company tips youth on herbal drugs
October 8, 2012 (BOR) – Forever Living International, a United States-based company has urged youth in South Sudan’s Jonglei state to take up business in herbal drugs to improve the health situation of people in the young nation.
Josephine Mwedekli, East Africa’s Managing Director for Forever Living International told attendees the company is looking forward to ensure South Sudan becomes one of the five East Africa countries currently reaping lots of benefits from the US-based business.
“We have introduced East Africa to benefit from Forever Living for the first seven years now and [the people of] South Sudan will be able to have good health like the rest of people from East Africa,” said Mwedekli.
The company, she added, has for the past 34 years been operational in over 154 countries worldwide.
To be eligible, members are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee, before he or she is allowed to large quantity of drugs, which they sell at a profit.
The quantity of drugs one has bought and the number of people you recruit to the company account for the promotion of a person from to a senior position in the company, Mwedekeli said.
She however said she and her team were with the response from people in South Sudan, much the company is not yet officially registered in the country, thus making its operations in any of its 10 states illegal.
Forever Living Company, Mwedekeli stressed, also boasts of a variety of other products, with Aloe Vera considered the company’s backbone.
“In addition to that, we also have product [ranging] from bee hives because we control about 70% of world bee hive products. We have quite [a] number of the bee hives. We have the product of weight management, natural, personal care and products for natural make-up as well,” she noted.
“Forever is not how much you know or how much you needs it is how much you care. You should care about the others [because] when you care for others in this business, they will recommend the product to other people and you will make money,” she added.
