TRIPOLI, Libya, June 28, 2004 (PANA) — Chadian President Idriss Deby arrived here Monday for talks with Libya leader Colonel Mouammar Kadhafi.
Diplomatic sources said discussions between the two men would focus on the evolution of the African Union, the development of the continent and ways to strengthen ties between Tripoli and N`djamena.
They would also discuss the situation in the troubled western Sudan region of Darfur bordering Chad.
A Libyan committee monitoring the plight of refugees fleeing the conflict in Darfur held discussions here recently with the US Agency for International Development (USAID) on ways to reach displaced people in the area with humanitarian aid.
