Last February, the Turkish deputy PM Bekir Bozda visited Khartoum to prepare for Erdogan’s trip in which he was to inaugurate a $100 million hospital in South Darfur capital of Nyala funded by Turkey.

This is the second time Erdogan’s visit has been delayed as he was scheduled to arrive in October of last year.

Sources gave different reasons for the second postponement with some saying it was made at the request of Istanbul and others noting that the Nyala hospital has yet to be completed in time for Erdogan’s visit.
