Kenyan Masayoka to continue to be responsible of Sudan peace talks
NAIROBI, July 11, 2004 (SUNA) — The Kenyan President, Mwai Kebaki, has issued a decision appointing former foreign minister and current Minister of Environment Kalenzo Masayoka to be responsible of the two files of Sudan and Somalia at the peace talks currently sponsored by IGAD and hosted by Kenya.
A statement issued by the presidential palace in Kenya said that Masayoka would be in charge of the political committee for Sudan and Somalia, which is chaired by the Kenyan President.
The statement said that the decision comes as affirmation that Kenya will continue its mission till the peace negotiations of both Sudan and Somalia reach their goals.
