Sudan’s FM hopes opposition NDA meetings will support peaceful solution
KHARTOUM, July 13, 2004 (SUNA) — Foreign Minister Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail hoped that the meeting of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), scheduled to begin Wednesday in the Eritrean capital, Asmara, would come out with decisions and recommendations conducive to the peaceful solution not only in south Sudan but also in Darfur.
In a press statement, Dr. Ismail also hoped that the NDA meetings in Asmara will also transfer the relation between the government and the NDA into one which is based on dialogue.
He said that the meeting is hoped to underscore the agreement between the government and the NDA on the importance of reactivating dialogue and implementing of Jeddah protocol.
