Sudanese official, US envoy review humanitarian situation in Darfur

KHARTOUM, July 14, 2004 (SUNA) — Political Adviser of the President of the Republic ,Dr. Gotbi Al-Mahdi reviewed with the American chargé d’affairs means of improving the humanitarian conditions in Darfur and the return of the refugees and displaced to their villages

Following the meeting last night at the residence of the American chargé d’affairs , Dr. Al-Mahdi said he has informed the American chargé d’affairs by the development in Darfur and the American view on the government efforts to contain the humanitarian conditions in Darfur

On his side the American chargé d’affairs expressed his satisfaction by the government efforts in ensuring the aid work and to transfer it to the affected people.
