Sudan signs agreement on four freedoms with Egypt

Omer Al-Bashir has signed the Agreement on the Four Freedoms between Sudan and Egypt, which include the freedoms of movement, ownership, work and residence, said the Minister of Agriculture and chairman of the Sudanese side at the Sudanese – Egyptian ministerial committee Dr. Magzoub Al-Khalifa.

The agreement was earlier ratified by the Sudanese and Egyptian Parliaments. Dr. Al-Khalifa said that the signing of the Agreement of Four Freedoms by the Presidents of Sudan and Egypt represent the beginning for implementation of the agreement.

He said that implementation of this agreement will consolidate the bilateral relation between Sudan and Egypt in the political and economic domains.

The minister said that the two sides have actually begun working out joint projects in the agricultural, roads, education and trade fields.

Meanwhile, Dr. Al-Khalifa announced that the joint higher Sudanese – Egyptian committee is due to meet in Cairo in the coming days, co-chaired by the First Vice – President, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, and the Egyptian Prime Minister, Mohamed Nazif.
