May 11, 2014 (KAMPALA) – South Sudanese army or SPLA and Sudanese rebels JEM has recapture oil hub of Bentiu town on Sunday morning despite truce of cessation of hostility signed on Friday between two leaders in the Ethiopia capital Addis-Ababa.

In series of interview Sudan Tribune conducted this morning over Satellite phone with internal displaced people in United Nation camp in Rubkotna has confirmed the government attacks on the SPLA army in opposition at Bentiu town and neighboring Guit County.

More reports are emerging that the Sudanese rebels are setting on fire remaining Tukuls in the town and are killing civilians, as a base of revenge following an alleged ethnics targets when SPLA in opposition retake Bentiu from government troops earlier last month.

“All houses are on fire in Bentiu and we are receiving report from our teams on patrolling the town that civilians are being target by arms rebels from Darfur” said UN official who prepare being anonymity told Sudan Tribune on Sunday.

Since Friday the government and the Sudanese rebels Justice and Equality Movement were accused of carrying out imminent attacks of position of rebels held areas in Unity state.

Sudan Tribune had several times attempts to reach rebels commanders over satellite phone on the ground to confirm the attacks by the government but has failed to speak with anyone of them.

However Sudan Tribune managed to reach Brigadier.Gen. Lul Ruai the SPLA in opposition spokesperson has confirmed the fighting in the area.

“I have just received the information about government aggressive on our position in Bentiu town, am gathering the full details and will soon be available for media”, said the SPLA army spokesperson in phone interview from Addis-Ababa.

South Sudan is turning to be the deadliest conflicts since it get independent from Sudan in 2011. Despites an international effort on pressuring both warring parties to lay down their guns and engage on peace talks still both are accused of breaking ceasefire deal.
