C. Equatoria governor appoints new finance minister

January 2, 2015 (JUBA) – The Governor of South Sudan’s Central Equatoria state, Clement Wani Konga on Friday issued several new orders, appointing a new finance minister, among others.

The order, read on the state owned radio, saw the former Yei county commissioner, David Juma Augustine the appointed finance and economic planning minister.

Juma replaces Paul Ladu Bureng, the new Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) commissioner.

Another order saw deputy governor, Manase Lomole, relieved of his post, but re-appointed to the same position in a separate directive.

All the 14 cabinet ministers in the state were relieved from their positions, but while some were re-appointed, others were not retained in the government.
