Western Bahr el Ghazal governor names new cabinet
January 19, 2015 (WAU) – The governor of South Sudan’s Western Bahr e Ghazal state, Rizik Zackaria Hassan, issued a gubernatorial decree on Monday relieving his entire cabinet and appointing new ministers.
The new appointees include:
– Angelo Taban Baiajo – minister for local government and law enforcement agencies.
– Mary karlino – minister for information, communication and culture.
– Andrea Ahamed Bawal – minister for labour and public service
– Dr Adil Athansio Suru – minister for education
– Dr Isaac Clerto Hassan – minister for health
– Michael Madut Chan – minister for agriculture and animal resources
– James Ernest Makuei – minister for trade and cooperation
– Rudolf Andrea Ujika – minister for youth and sport
– Naima Abas – minister for gender, child and social welfare.
The governor also reappointed Zackaria Joseph Garang as his deputy governor and minister for physical infrastructure, while Lilian Valentino retained her position as finance minister, trade and industry.
Former minister for local government and law enforcement John Urabano Denein, former minister for information, communication and culture Derik Oya Alfred from information and former minister for labour and public services Monica Sabino Madut were among those not named in the new cabinet line-up.
