State TV back on air in W. Bahr el Ghazal

April 1, 2015 (WAU) – The Western Bahr el Ghazal branch of state-owned South Sudan television (SSTV) is back on air after 10 months.

Station director Alor Deng Koor told Sudan Tribune the branch developed a technical problem last June, which had now been resolved.

Daily news programmes resume as of Wednesday and will operate from 7pm to 10pm each day.

Alor said SSTV is currently seeking to increase its working hours, starting from morning hours to late night.

Wau TV is a subsidiary of the national branch based in the South Sudanese capital, Juba.
