He said that the date of the internal national dialogue process would be determined following the sworn in ceremony of the re-elected president Omer al-Bashir.

The Sudanese presidency did not yet announce the date of the ceremony which should be attended by a number of foreign heads of state and government.

For his part, South Kordofan governor Adam al-Faki confirmed the arrival of the RSF militiamen to his state and said they are “ready to carry out effective operations” to restore stability in a number of troubled areas in the state.

Al-Faki who was speaking after a meeting with the defence minister said the initiative now in the hands of the Sudanese army, adding that more efforts would be done in the upcoming period to expand security during the rest of the summer season.
