Unknown gunmen kill Wau county paramount chief, wife

May 11, 2015 (WAU) – Unknown gunmen on Monday killed the paramount chief of Wau county in Western Bahr el Ghazal state, Angelo Bagari, his wife and injured his daughter.

The incident, Wau county commissioner said, occurred at about 10am [local time].

“We as the state government have dispatch out team of security personnel to the area where chief was killed to investigate the incident, we need anybody fund behind the incident to be brought to justice,” Elia Kamilo Dimo told Sudan Tribune on Monday.

The state police commissioner, Abraham Manyuat said police were taking positive measures to ensure those who killed the paramount chief are arrested to face the law.

The gruesome incident comes barely a week after the deceased was re-inaugurated as the new paramount chief of Wau county headquarters, Bagari.
