Chinese official to visit Sudan

KHARTOUM, Aug 14, 2004 (SUNA) — Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister and special envoy of the Chinese President arrives in Khartoum Saturday evening carrying a written message to the President of the Republic from his Chinese counterpart, dealing with developments in Darfur.

The envoy of the Chinese President will meet the President of the Republic, the minister of foreign affairs, the minister of interior and representative of the President of the Republic in Darfur states, the Minister of Energy and Mining and the Secretary-General of the National Congress.
