Sudan is aware about pressures on US Adm from blacks and Jewish lobbies: official

KHARTOUM, Aug 17, 2004 (SUNA) — The State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Najib Al-Khair Abdul-Wahab, said that Sudan is fully aware about the current pressures facing the American Administration from many parliamentary groups and lobbies, especially the blacks and Jewish lobbies.

The minister referred to attempts to exploit Darfur issue to win the votes of the American people during the coming presidential elections.

Commenting to the press on the stance of the American administration pertinent to Darfur issue, the minister explained that any reports or measures taken in this connection are part of the current elections campaign for American presidency.

Abdul-Wahab affirmed that the Sudanese government would continue its efforts to bring an end to the crisis of Darfur, and would never give heed to whatever might be adopted by these American lobbies or groups.
