First US wheat sale to Sudan since 2000/01-USDA

WASHINGTON, Aug 19 (Reuters) – The U.S. Agriculture Department on Thursday reported the sale and export of 22,500 tonnes of U.S. wheat for Sudan, its first purchase of U.S. wheat since the 2000/01 marketing year.

In its weekly export sales report, the USDA said the purchase was made during the week ended Aug. 12.
