Wau state governor appoints deputy

January 4, 2016 (JUBA)- The newly appointed governor of Wau State, Lt. General Elias Waya Nyipuocho on Monday appointed Maj. General Andrea Dominic as his deputy.

Waya who hails from the Luo community in Wau, said Andrea, a Balanda by tribe would help to reunite citizens in the state who were divided along ethnic lines for a long time.

“We are going to work together to maintain our State’s security, development and the trust of our people,” stressed the newly appointed governor of Way state.

“I have many of my colleagues who are close to me, you should not feel surprised why I did not appoint you, … this appointment is based on some ground issues,” he added.
