Sudan adopts health preventive measures on foreign nationals
KHARTOUM, Aug 23, 2004 (SUNA) — The Ministry of Health has adopted preventive measures, including HIV test, on foreigners coming to Sudan for work, announced the Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Bilal Osman.
The minister told SUNA the Cabinet instructed his Ministry to subject all foreign workers and forces to medical tests and check up, explaining that these measures would be a prerequisite for all arrivals.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail, said in a press conference Sunday that his ministry called on the Ministry of Health to make sure that the African forces in Darfur obtain the necessary health documents.
