Maridi state governor appoints deputy and ministers
April 1, 2016 (YAMBIO) – Governor of South Sudan’s newly created Maridi state has, through a gubernatorial order issued on Thursday, appointed his deputy and seven ministers of the state government.
In the order announced by the state-owned Yambio FM, Afrikano Monday, appointed Cololnel Samuel Bati, as deputy governor.
Col. Samuel Bati served for a long time as minister of local government and law enforcement and also as advisor on security affairs when former governor Bangasi Joseph Bakosoro was in power for Western Equatoria state
Another decree saw Bukulu Edward appointed as advisor on political affairs; Matthias Onzi appointed as security advisor; and Vailet Sadiah appointed as advisor on peace and reconciliation in the state.
Others decrees appointed Body Michael as minister of local government and law enforcement; Peter Saki as minister of information, culture, youth and sports; and Alison Barnaba appointed as minister of finance and economic planning.
Pastor Phillip Bako is appointed as minister of physical infrastructure; Enosa Sete Aguno as minister of agriculture; Jean Pia Michael as minister of education, gender, child and social welfare; and finally Dima Hosea was appointed as minister of health
Sudan Tribune could not easily establish when the new officials will take oath office.
