Chinese FM, US secretary of state discuss North Korean, Sudan

SANAA, Yemen, Sep 10, 2004 (Xinhua-in Chinese) During an official visit to Yemen, Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing had a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Colin Powell on the evening of 10 September by prior arrangement.

Powell reported recent measures adopted to develop Sino-US relations. The two sides also exchanged viewpoints on issues including the Korean Peninsula nuclear question and Darfur, Sudan.
