Minister of electricity receives German delegation

KHARTOUM, Sep 26, 2004 (SUNA) — The Minister of Electricity, Joseph Malwal, received Sunday at his office a delegation of the German Elbe Maschinebau Company, which expressed desire to invest in Sudan in the field of electricity power.

The minister welcomed the company’s desire, saying that Sudan is open for investment of foreign companies, as reflected in its Investment Act, appreciating the role of the German companies which are operating in Sudan in the electricity field.

It is to be noted that Elbe Maschinebau Company is specialized in the field of electricity stations, power generation and distribution. It is currently implementing in number of projects in Tunisia, Algeria and Iraq.
