Arab Fund agrees to extend 65 million dollars loan to Sudan
KHARTOUM, Sep 26, 2004 (SUNA) — The Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development has agreed to extend a loan of 65 million dollars to the White Nile Sugar Project.
During a meeting with the mission of the fund currently visiting the country, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance and National Economy Ahmed Omer Abdel-Rahman lauded the fund’s support to development projects in Sudan, referring to importance of the White Nile Sugar Project and its expected role in supporting development in the country.
Head of the fund’s mission, on his part, indicated to significance of the project in providing Arab countries with sugar, pointing in this regard to the existence of all factors in Sudan that make the project a success.
