July 14, 2019 (KHARTOUM) – The pro-democracy Central Committee of Sudan Doctors (CCSD) announced on Sunday that a youth was killed and others wounded in the central Sudan city of El-Suki by members of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

In two statements issued after the incident, the medical group announced the killing of Anwar Hassan Idris, ” by gunshot in his head fired by the Janjaweed militias”.

In a second statement released late during the night of Sunday, the CCSD further said that seven other protesters were injured including a child who is in unstable condition and was transferred to Sennar hospital following a gunshot injury on the head.

Reacting to these reports, the RSF leader and deputy head of the military junta, Mohamed Hamdan Dalgo Hemetti denied any relation with the incident saying the RSF have not been deployed in the area.

Also, conflicting reports emerged from the area about the circumstances that led to the

Anwar Hassan Edris was killed in El Suki, Sennar by gunshot in his head fired by Rapid Support Forces (AKA Al Janjaweed) militia. In addition, the incident resulted in a number of casualties of which some are serious and were transferred to Sennar Hospital for treatment.

Field Report About El Suki City Causalities
– A male in his twenties, shot in the chest with live ammunition that penetrated the shoulder blade and led to a fracture of the upper rib and shoulder blade. His condition is stable and was transferred to Sinjah.

– Three (3) protesters were wounded in their hand with live ammunitions. They are in stable condition.

– An injury in the ear with Heavy Machine Gun (DShK) ammunition fragments. In stable condition.

– An Injury with Heavy Machine Gun (DShK) ammunition in the back. In stable condition.

– A child wounded with Heavy Machine Gun (DShK) ammunition fragments in the head. In unstable condition and was transferred to Sennar hospital.
