SSOMA Leadership Council appoints Secretary General

March 15, 2021 (JUBA) – The Leadership Council of South Sudan Opposition Movements Alliance (SSOMA) has appointed Amb. Emmanuel Aban Ajawin as the Secretary General of the coalition.

The appointment of Ajawin, a member of the SSOMA Leadership Council, took effective from March 13, the group said in a statement issued on Monday.

The position of the Secretary General of SSOMA is six-month rotational position among members of SSOMA’s Leadership Council

“The SSOMA Leadership Council congratulates Amb. Emmanuel Ajawin and wish him success in his new assignment in the alliance,” partly reads SSOMA’s statement extended to Sudan Tribune.

According to the opposition coalition, Ajawin will be its chief administrator and answerable to the SSOMA Leadership Council.

Members of SSOMA include, Real Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (R-SPLM), National Salvation Front (NAS), South Sudan United Front (SSUF), United Democratic Revolutionary Movement/Army (UNDRM/A), National Democratic Movement-PF (NDM-PF) and Sudan National Movement for Change (SSNMC).
