The meeting heard a report on food situation submitted by the Commissioner of Humanitarian Aid and another report on health situation presented by the Federal Minister of Health, Ahmed Bilal Osman.

Foreign Minister Mustafa Osman Ismail said in a press statement that he presented a report on the talks between the government and the opposition National Democratic Alliance in Cairo and the government and arms holders in Darfur in the Nigerian capital of Abuja.

The meeting has heard a report by South Darfur governor on security situation, said Ismail. The report has alluded to breaches committed by the arms holders, specially in North Dartfur State, including planting of landmines and terrorizing of citizens.

The rebels have assaulted and looted 105 Nigerian pilgrims, said the governor.
