Kadhafi, El-Bashir, Kabbah discuss situation in Africa

TRIPOLI, Libya, Nov 29, 2004 (PANA) — Libyan leader Muammar Kadhafi and his Sudanese and Sierra Leonean counterparts Omar Hassan Al-Bashir and Ahmad Tejan Kabbah held discussions here at the weekend, on the crisis in Sudan’s troubled region of Darfur.

They also discussed issues regarding the Community Sahel-Saharan States (CEN-SAD) and the African Union (AU).

On Sunday, Kadhafi and El Bashir held further discussions on
the same issues, sources told PANA.

The Sudanese president left Tripoli Sunday afternoon, after a 48-hour stay in Libya, where he stopped on his way back from the 10th Francophonie summit that held in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso,last 26 and 27 November.

Similarly, discussions with Kabbah, who arrived in Tripoli last Friday for an official visit centred mostly on developments in the West-African sub-region.
