Adama, Khartoum Sign Cooperation Agreements
ADDIS ABABA, Dec 2, 2004 (ENA) — The Oromia State Government and the Khartoum Administration signed cooperation agreements enabling them to work together in various development sectors.
Adama, capital of Oromia State Administration and Umbadda of Khartoum, have signed a memorandom of understanding enabling them to become twin cities.
According to the agreement, the Khartoum State Government will train 50 physicians and 80 nurses for Oromia State Administration in a period of three years.
The Oromia State Government on its part will train 10 athletics for the Khratoum Administration.
Creating conducive environment that will help entrepreneurs invest in Oromia is also part of the agreement.
The Khartoum Government will also extend support to the Oromia State Administration for its radio and television station which is under construction.
The Agreement was signed by Oromia State Administration Chief Junedin Sado and Khartoum City State Governor Dr. Abdulhalim Ismail.
Speaking at the signing ceremony Jundein said the state government would strive for strengthening of the bilateral cooperation between the two sides.
The Oromia State Government would do everything possible to establish business links between the business communities of the two administrations.
Dr. Abdulhalim said on his part that he would do his level best to extend support for the realization of the development efforts underway in Oromia State Administration.
He said his visit to Oromia was successful and important.
