KHARTOUM, Dec 4, 2004 (Al-Ayyam) — The opposition Ummah Party has denied that it is holding any dialogue with the ruling National Congress (NC) at present and said there had been no dialogue between the two parties since the government’s signing of the Naivasha protocols at the beginning of the year.
Ummah Secretary-General Abd al-Nabi Ali Ahmad told Al-Ayyam that he there was no point in holding a dialogue with the government and its party “if they rejected the idea of a comprehensive national conference which the Ummah Party was advocating.”
