Darfur situation is never worse than Nazi time and holocaust of Jews: Sudan’s FM
KHARTOUM, Dec 12, 2004 (Al-Sahafah) — Foreign minister Mustafa Osman Ismail has angrily responded to the statement made by his German counterpart Joschka Fischer, who said that what is happening in Darfur is the worst kind of Human Rights violation in the world.
The Sudanese minister of foreign affairs said the Darfur situation is never in anyway worse than the Nazi situation and the holocaust of Jews.
He called upon the Germany to remember that holocaust is now part of their history.
He further said that Fischer’s statement came to please the USA and in a bid to revisit its opposed position to Washington during the war on Iraq. He added that Germany was making effort to win the heart of USA because it is endeavoring to acquire a permanent membership in the Security Council.
