Arab industry ministers to meet in Khartoum 27-29 December

KHARTOUM, Dec 23, 2004 (MENA) — The Sudanese capital of Khartoum will host the extraordinary ministerial meeting of the Arab Organization for Industrial Development and Mining on 27-29 December, to be attended by the Arab League secretary-general, Amr Musa, and more than 12 Arab industry ministers.

Minister of State at the Sudanese Ministry of Industry Ali Osman said the meeting will be preceded by a meeting of government experts in the field of industry.

The gathering will sanction a draft industrial strategy, he said, pointing out that an industrial exhibition will be held on the sidelines of the meetings showcasing the achievements realized by the Arab industrial sector in the fields of engineering, sugar and other food industries.
