Malaysia’s Kejuruteraan Samudra Wins Sudan Drilling Contract
Dec 23, 2004 (LiquidAfrica) — Kejuruteraan Samudra Timur Bhd said its unit KST Drilling Technologies (M) Ltd has been awarded a provisional contract to supply a drilling rig and associated services to an onshore oil project in Sudan.
It said KST was awarded the two-year contract by White Nile Petroleum Operating Co Ltd, which operates Sudan’s onshore 5A, and 8 blocks.
The contract provides for an option to extend for one year.
Over a three-year period the contract is expected to generate revenue of about 17.0 mln usd or 65.0 mln rgt.
