Sudan accuses international organization of spying in Darfur
KHARTOUM, Feb 13, 2005 (Al-Khartoum) — The Sudanese government has said it will take strong actions against one international organizations working in the humanitarian field in Darfur states.
An informed source said that the organization recruits refugees from neighbouring countries and claims they are Sudanese refugees fleeing from Darfur, in addition to supporting the rebels in Darfur.
The source further said competent authorities had concluded an inquiry into the activities of the organization in this regard, as well as its spying activities and communicating some information about the country.
The source, which preferred not to be disclosed, said that within the following hours the government would be taking a strong action against the organization for its infringement of the country’s voluntary and humanitarian guidelines and its violation of international agreements.
