Sudanese vice – president to visit Nigeria on Monday
KHARTOUM, Feb 27, 2005 (SUNA) — Sudanese vice president, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, is due to visit Nigeria Monday, within the context of an external and internal tours due to staged by senior officials regarding implementation of the Comprehensive peace agreement and consultations on the situation in Darfur.

In a press statement, Sudanese foreign minister Mustafa Ismail said that Taha will meet with the Nigerian President and current Chairman of the African Union, Olosegen Obasanjo to discuss implementation of the peace agreement which was signed by the government and Sudan Liberation Movement (SPLM) in Nairobi in January 9.
He indicated that Taha will also discuss the latest developments in Darfur issue, adding that the visit will be the first one of Taha to Abuja after his assignment to assume Darfur issue and after the signing of the peace agreement in Nairobi.
Ismail said that no time has been fixed yet for convocation of an African in Cairo on Darfur issue.
He said that the vice – president will visit Brussels after his return from Nigeria in the current week to participate at the Conference on Federalism and to address the Investment Conference which will be organized by Sudan embassies in a number of European countries, in collaboration with Sudanese businessmen.
