SPLM delegation to arrive Khartoum next week
KHARTOUM, Mar 7, 2005 (Sudan Tribune) — Sudanese government announced that the SPLM delegation headed by Nhial Deng will arrive Khartoum on the 15th of this month, the acting Minister of information Abdulbasit Sabdarat told reporters Sunday.

Sabdarat said that in a Brussels’s meeting between the first Vice President Ali Osman Mohamed Taha and the SPLM leader, John Garang, the two agreed that the SPLM delegation under Nhial Deng’s chairmanship should arrived Khartoum on 15 March.
The two also discussed formation of the proposed commission on interim constitution on interim constitution drafting and they agreed on speeding up the peace agreement, said Abdulbasit Sabdrat, Minister of information.
The SPLM delegation would consist of 70 members of whom 7 are SPLM top leaders. The seven leading. Members will be touring all the states with special concern for Blue Nile and Southern Kordofan states.
Nhial will be permanently staying in Khartoum doing the job of a liaison officer between the government and the SPLM, with regard to constitution drafting meetings.
The government delegation will leave for Nairobi this week to take part in the work of the four committee set up to expedite the agreement, said Sabdrat.
The conference on federalism in Brussels was a good opportunity to promote Sudan’s promising investment environment, Sabdrat said.
