SPLM delegation expected in Khartoum tomorrow

KHARTOUM, Mar 14, 2005 (Sudan Tribune) — The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement 5SPLM° has invited all political forces, parties and civil society organizations to the participate in the forthcoming reception of the SPLM delegation in Khartoum.

The invitation was sent out by the SPLM’s executive officer in Sudan Mr Agok Makor, the dialy Akhbar Alyoum reported.

Meanwhile, Minister of Information Abd-al-Basit Sabdarat has said that, as far as the government is concerned, the SPLM delegation would arrive in Khartoum on 15 March.

The SPLM delegation will be headed by Nhial Deng. He will be permanently staying in Khartoum doing the job of a liaison officer between the government and the SPLM, with regard to constitution drafting meetings.

On the creation of the constitution drafting committee, Sabdarat said that the government is contacting parties and was awaiting the arrival of the SPLM delegation.
